PRINT THAT

Flashback to May 1994. I didn’t want any dolls or a bike. All I wanted for my communion was that beautiful pink flower dress that I had seen in the shop window of a local boutique. I wore it for weeks, even months.

Fast forward to more than 20 years later, my wardrobe has grown considerably, but I’m still that little girl who’s stuck on color, prints and pink. It’s often all I need to make a grey day turn bright. It takes some confidence to match a printed bottom with a different printed top but it’s totally worth it for the compliments and attention.

For some, clothes are just clothes but, for me, they are special, magic and fun and make you stand out of a crowd.  Every time has its fashion and trends and my style has evolved, but the acid brights and quirky prints will always be the highlight of my outfit. They make me happy and who I am!

ALEXANDER WANG AND THE TAX BANG

“Get your billions back America”. Unless you have been living under a rock for the past 3 months in America, you must have heard that catchphrase.

Today is the day! After last year’s major tax refund, I stepped into my local H&R block, ready to put some big money away for a rainy day.

All I got was a lousy return. Not enough for my rainy day plan but I've treated myself to a brand new Alexander Wang anorak.

ORANGE PUNCH

After the bitter cold of the past few months, spring and the promise of warm weather can’t come soon enough. While Mother Nature is busy setting record lows, I’m starting to create my own heat.

HAPPY WINTER

Only in NYC there’s no sign of spring and you’ll wear a beanie till the bitter end of March. Surprisingly, you find yourself sporting an outfit that fits in with the rare floral surroundings of the city. When a random passenger walks up to you and suggests you hold his dog because “you two would look beautiful together in a  picture” you forget for a moment that you’re living the longest winter ever.

DRESS FOR YOU, NOT YOUR MAN

Even if dressing up means wearing the most neutral jumpsuit with wide legged pants.

Flaunt it with confidence and pride which has nothing to do with physical appearance, but looking your best will make you feel your best. Confidence is a self-fulfilling prophecy and the secret to a look that radiates unstudied cool.
